Brenda Pfahl

Brenda Pfahl established the Al Pfahl Memorial Endowment in 1990 upon the death of her husband.

Dr. Al Pfahl started his teaching career at West Lin n High School in 1948, beginning as a counselor and going on to become Director of Vocational Education. He joined the Clackamas Education Service District in 1972, ultimately assuming the role of Regional Coordinator. Upon retirement in 1987, Dr. Pfahl established a transfer scholarship at Clackamas Community College to encourage students to continue their studies at a four-year institution. Dr. Pfahl helped establish CCC’s technical physics program for non-science majors and continued to serve as a member of CCC’s Occupational Advisory Council until his death in 1991. With the generous support of his widow Brenda, the transfer scholarship was changed to an endowed scholarship in his memory.

The Al Pfahl Memorial Endowment provides annual tuition assistance to a student transferring from Clackamas Community College to a four-year college or university and intending to major in education or a vocational field.
