Cheryl Cooper was the 1983 honors graduate of the Clackamas Community College Nursing Program. She and her husband Mel, who served for many years on the CCC Foundation Board of Directors, lived and raised their family in West Linn. Cheryl also worked as a surgical nurse at Willamette Falls Hospital in Oregon City until her retirement due to illness in 1987.

Following her death in 1993, an endowment in her memory was established by the Cooper family and friends.

The Cheryl K. Cooper Endowment provides annual tuition assistance for students in the Nursing Program at Clackamas Community College.
