Clackamas County Master Gardeners Association

Clackamas County Master Gardeners Association

The Clackamas County Chapter of the Oregon Master Gardener Association was founded in 1975 to help Oregon State University Extension Agents provide information to gardeners. Master Gardeners are volunteers who have been trained and certified to extend OSU research based information to home gardeners. Education is the primary goal of the organization.

In 1990, the chapter awarded its first full tuition scholarship to a horticulture student at Clackamas Community College. In 1999, the chapter created the Clackamas County Master Gardener Association Endowment, a fund that will support horticulture students well into the future. The chapter’s commitment to education is demonstrated through the lives and careers of these students.

Impact

With the help of this scholarship, I will be able to continue my education on all things agricultural and be a better asset to my surrounding community.
