Esther, Marilynne and Amber Keyser Endowment

Esther, Marilynne and Amber Keyser Endowment

This endowment was established by President John Keyser in celebration of his mother, wife and daughter. Esther was an artist, wilderness canoe guide, camp director, and a Regional Executive Director and National Camping advisor for the Girl Scouts. An avid birder , she monitored the activities of the Common Loon near her summer home in Canada. Marilynne was a CPA, Oregon Deputy Secretary of State and Governor’s Education Advisor. She volunteers with recovery efforts for the Western Bluebird. Amber was a ballet dancer and CCC student. She is a biologist studying birds and an international traveler.

These women live simple, authentic lives, respect and revere the natural world and are life-long learners. They have gathered others into a loving circle of extended family and friends. Because they are all naturalists, this endowment encourages women majoring in the sciences . It is dedicated to Esther Rose Isenberg, Amber’s daughter who died during childbirth on September 10, 2000 .
