Gary Smith Memorial Endowment

A business owner, father and friend, Gary Smith believed in the potential of the people around him, working to bring out the best in everyone. As a founder of Clackamas Community College’s Corporate Challenge Golf Tournament, Gary convinced others that they could put on one of the best charity golf tournaments in the state. Proceeds from that tournament opened the door to a college education for hundreds of people who would otherwise not be able to attend.

Gary passed away in March, 2002, prompting his family and friends to create the Gary Smith Memorial Scholarship, a lasting tribute to Gary’s belief that every person has the potential to succeed.
