Geraldine Harrington Endowment

Geraldine Harrington epitomized the true art and science of nursing. One of the first instructors in the CCC nursing program, Gerry taught from 1968 until her retirement in 1987. Her colleagues remember her unique ability to apply theory to the actual delivery of care. The best part of teaching at CCC, according to Gerry, was the strength and friendship of her colleagues, and the determination of her students who worked so hard to pursue their dreams.

Gerry resides in Sherwood, Oregon and enjoys time with her three children and three grandchildren.

Gerry was the first to officially retire from the CCC Nursing Department. To honor her contribution to student success, her colleagues and friends started an endowment in her name. The Geraldine Harrington Endowment provides scholarships to nursing students who excel in the clinical setting and who possess a gift for delivering quality care.
