Jerry Stone Memorial Scholarship

Mr. Jerry Stone was a long-time lineman for PacifiCorp and one of the foundational employee’s involved with the UTA partnership. His role at PacifiCorp evolved to Environmental Safety Director. He was well respected, always a strong advocate for improvement and growth at WTC and a believer of apprenticeship. He’s noted by Shelly Tracey as “a wonderful human being.” Mr. Stone passed away unexpectedly on 11/30/2009, after a short illness. The UTA Committee established this memorial scholarship to honor his person and work in the UTA partnership. Obit states: Jerry Stone was born in Charleston, W. VA; a super big fan of West Virigina Tech football. He is survived by his mother Phyllis Brown; wife, Karen Wines; and sons, Nathan and Jason.
