John and Ginger Niemeyer Endowment
John and Ginger Niemeyer say they don’t believe in giving; they believe in helping. John started his career in real estate development as a home builder, and he believes strongly in helping others gain the skills they need to be successful in life. Their philosophy is to provide a helping hand, not a handout. At Clackamas Community College, the Niemeyers support programs for students who are pursuing a trade in the professional/technical field.
The Niemeyer Endowment supports annual scholarships for students in professional/technical programs as well as educational awards to provide tuition, books, fees or supplies to students.
Impact
My goal is to take my scuba diving and match it with my welding knowledge. I plan to attend CCC for one year and then enroll at the Divers Inst. Technology in Seattle for their Underwater Welding program and this scholarship will help me reach those goals. ~ Dana
