Mary Baur Memorial Endowment
Mary Baur’s commitment to education led from her involvement in her children’s school PTA to leadership of the movement to establish a community college in Clackamas County. The former Milwaukie resident and mother of four headed the group whose work resulted in the creation of Clackamas Community College in 1966. Ms. Baur, who now lives on a 30-acre pear orchard in Ridgefield, Washington, returned to CCC in 1991 for the college’s 25th Anniversary Celebration, which she distinguished by endowing a perpetual scholarship for future CCC students.
The Mary G. Baur Endowment provides annual tuition assistance to a new or returning student at Clackamas Community College.
