Norm Berney Endowment

Coach, counselor, recruiter, supervisor and advisor are just a few roles played by Norm Berney in his 30-year career at Clackamas Community College. A graduate of Can by High School, he holds degrees from Eastern Oregon State University and Portland State University. Norm joined CCC in 1971 as a member of the coaching staff where he was honored with many awards, including “1987 National Coach of the Year” in wrestling. He later became advisor to the Associated Student Government. In recognition of the major contributions Norm has made to student success, he was named “National Student Government Advisor of the Year” in 2000.

The Norm Berney Endowment was established by Norm to provide scholarship support to student leaders-those making a difference at Clackamas Community College and showing the desire and potential to continue as leaders in the community.
