Ryan Scoggins Memorial Endowment

Ryan Scoggins was an employee of Clackamas Education Service District (ESD) for over 20 years, serving as facilities technician when he passed away in June, 2011. Ryan was a strong Christian, who loved his family and home, his job and co-workers. His humble, cheerful, helpful, and ethical demeanor endeared him to all. Ryan also had a HUGE heart for students who weren’t “book-smart,” with whom he jovially identified. Despite learning disabilities, he never gave up, believing that “if a person put their mind to it, they could overcome anything.” A proponent of trade skills, he opined that everyone has an important role to achieve in the world, whether as doctor, engineer or woodworker.

The Clackamas ESD Employees Association proudly endowed the Ryan Scoggins Memorial Scholarship to provide tuition assistance to students seeking trade or manufacturing careers.
