Shirley Cressler Memorial Endowment

Shirley Cressler Memorial Endowment

Shirley Cressler taught Life Sciences at Clackamas Community College from 1969 until her retirement in 1987. Her popular anatomy and physiology classes launched many CCC students on successful careers in nursing and medicine, and many continued to stay in touch with their former friend and mentor for years after graduation. Shirley was president of the CCC Faculty Association from 1977 to 1978 and also served as department chairwoman during her last four years at CCC. Following her death in 1991, the memorial scholarship in her name was established through the generous support of Shirley’s family, friends, former students, and professional colleagues.

The Shirley Cressler Memorial Endowment provides annual tuition assistance to a returning student majoring in one of the Life Sciences or Life Science Education at Clackamas Community College.
