Virginia W. Danielson Memorial Endowment
Through her support for Clackamas Community College’s Family Resource Center, Virginia Danielson has become a leading advocate for disadvantaged families and women in transition in the community. The Danielson Family Resource Room is named in honor of Virginia and her husband Gil, whose generous support was instrumental in making the Family Resource Center possible. This endowment continues a long-standing commitment by the Danielson Family, owners of Danielson Thriftway Food Stores in Oregon, to the improvement of educational opportunities for students at Clackamas Community College.
The Virginia W. Danielson Endowment provides annual tuition assistance to one or more graduates of the Family Resource Center who elect to continue their education at Clackamas Community College.
Impact
After being raised in Siberia and then moving to the USA, I am the first member of my family to get a college education and your help in achieving this goal is greatly appreciated! ~ Elena
