Dick Andrews Memorial Endowment
Dick Andrews touched the lives of students and staff at Clackamas Community College in many ways. Dick served on CCC’s first Board of Education from 1966 to 1971 and went on to teach English at the college from 1971 until his death in 1991. An ardent booster of CCC’s wrestling team, Dick sold his home-baked bread at the Clackamas County Fair for many years to benefit the team, and even opened his home to wrestlers in need of a place to stay. An ordained minister and former pastor of Beavercreek United Church of Christ, Dick was always available to students and staff as a friend and advisor. His latter life was blessed by his 1985 marriage to fellow faculty member Cyndi Pucci and the birth of their son Benjamin.
The Richard Andrews Memorial Endowment provides annual tuition assistance to a new or returning Hispanic student at Clackamas Community College.
Impact
I will be the first one out of my family to attend college and I am proud of it. I want to become someone in life, make my parents proud, and support them like they done it for me. ~Alejandra
